Brookhouse Music
Based in South Dakota, Winthrop Brookhouse is a talented composer who writes in the Jazz, Latin, World, Electronica, Dramatic, and New Age genres. He studied with Brazilian composer Moacir Santos, who gave him a strong background in Latin music, and with Pete Robinson at Dick Groves Studio in Hollywood. Using thematic and melodic sounds with a focus on orchestrating a wide variety of instrumentation. I enjoy most creating rich instrumental sounds, mostly synths created and layered into one patch. Since I mainly work composing in Dorico using written notation, which I feel most comfortable with. I like creating a patch that can have more then one voice controlled by CC# data for each voice being able to come and go as I write instead of using different lines for each. This is the approach I am using when creating a Kontact instrument.
