We lean towards organic and acoustic sound sources, both instruments and found sounds.
It's amazing that a recorded sound can take your mind back to the time and the place it was captured or heard, just like a photo does. A sample is an audio photograph of a moment in time, completely unique. If heard time and again in popular movies, tv series, songs or video games, a sample can become ingrained in the collective human consciousness, making it a classic or iconic sound.
