String Quartet

String Quartet is a phrase-based library rather than a set of directly-playable note-by-note samples. The impressively large collection of phrases were composed for and performed by a string quartet.

When recording my string quartets, I decided to try writing a small library of samples. Turned out to be a small library, with a pleasant sound.
The red case switch changes the preset. The library uses minor and major chords.

The term string quartet can refer to either a type of musical composition or a group of four people who play them. Many composers from the mid-18th century onwards wrote string quartets. The associated musical ensemble consists of two violinists, a violist, and a cellist.
