E String Bass
A bass guitar created from an acoustic guitar

ByMan Makes Noise
The story
This instrument was born when I was recording randomness on an acoustic guitar. Between recording all kinds of noises I decided to just record the full length of the low E string as muted pluck and it turned out to sound quite nice as a bass instrument. The samples are quite short and tightly cut and have been treated with some bass addition to make it sound more like a bass than a guitar.
Reviews
Warm and deep sound of a bass
Nice, very deep and warm library. It is useful for many occasions!
Deep sound of a bass, nice tone of a guitar
Very nice sound! Acoustic guitars have become my favorite sound as a sampled instrument when they are recorded well and pitched down. I will definitely be using the instrument often to add to the fullness of a nylon string in place of a bass. Since it is really hard to find good acoustic bass sounds (unfortunately I sold mine years back) this is a perfect fill in as, I think it'll work in any genre. Only issues I noticed were in Decent Sampler, no background loaded and the sound was very soft. I thought the soft tone was fine, but when I tried the Kontakt version I realized it was much louder there and of course had the added distortion knob.
Nice organic tone
As a guitar player i probably wouldn't use this but objectively i think its pretty great. The low end is pretty fat and the notes have alot of imperfection and buzzing and that sort of stuff which ads a lot to the realism and character. Slides are a huge part of my playing so i think thats a big reason im never into these libraries. The high end sounds really cool, plucky and organic also. These samples really have that kind of fingerpicked metallic rub or scrape kind of sound that the strings produce when you fingerpick a guitar that i think is missing from alot of these guitar libraries. I really like this and again it ads alot of realism and character
