Swarmonics

Harmonics and tremolos recorded on a Taylor acoustic guitar.

The story

After contributing to this amazing collaborative project with my “Cinematic Wine Glasses”, now’s the turn to my 2nd contribution.

I recorded some harmonics and tremolos with my Taylor acoustic guitar, direct to line and… IT’S AMAZING! It has LOTS of flexibility.

As in my first sample, I added a LPF and a big Reverb that you can turn off, so you can make it sound whether raw or very ambiental.

Also try adding your preferred distortion!

Reviews

  • Very well captured harmonics

This is clearly one of the best harmonics patches I've encountered here. The sound quality is excellent and sound signature is also very nice and realistic. The included reverb is a nice option to have, especially since it is controllable so I can have both dry and wet sounds. The swarms are not exactly swarms, since they are not randomized in anyway. They are tremolos, and they are very well performed. I'm not sure if there is anything more to ask about this. Great job!

  • Captain Corelli's Mandolin with Zombies

Or at least a dark foreboding with potential for gore. A folk horror soundtrack waiting to happen. Thank you for dragging this into the light, Adri. PS The Harmonics instrument is the yin to the Swarmonics Yang, righteously walking to the light.

  • Useful swarms and harmonics

The two sounds included here one swarm and one harmonics instrument are well recorded, playable, and super useful. It's perfect that the mod wheel is pre-mapped to the filter's cutoff. That's just the right amount of control. I'm maybe left wishing for ADSR control too, but I can get along just fine without it. This is a great sample pack!
